In a forum entry posted early this morning, Fear The Boot's Evil Eye Doctor Luke Meyer has left the podcast.
He said:
It is with both sadness and pride that I have to inform you that my time as a host on FTB has come to an end.The terribly photogenic Luke promises to remain involved in other aspects of The Boot (such as Fear The Con II), but will no longer function as an active host.
I've imparted just about every bit of wisdom and piece of advice I have regarding roleplaying games and to continue onwards would neither serve the almighty Boot well nor all the listeners.
This resignation follows Luke's May 22 announcement to take a "short vacation from Fear the Boot tasks. I'm bowing out of recording and active moderation until July."
Luke's been on the podcast now for about a year. He's provided an entertaining bit of color to the show, proving the irreverent foil to Dan's often professorial nature while sharing some truly great insight into gaming.
He has provided several helpful tips for me in developing This Empire Earth. And he's got me jazzed about GeoCaching.
In a lot of ways, Luke has functioned as the FtB nation's ambassador to the world.
He's a hoot.
He's a good guy.
Damn, I'm gonna miss him on the show.
