He Gave His Life for Tourism
Topic: Dallas

I can't begin to tell you how excited I was this morning when watching the news I learned that Dallas would be the first U.S. stop for the King Tut and Golden Age of the Pharaohs exhibit.  It's been 30 years since these artifacts left their home in Egypt.  I was far too young to go see the show last time around.

The Dallas Museum of Art will be hosting the exhibit which opens October 3, 2008 and will run through May 17, 2009.

I dig the artifacts of ancient Egypt.  When I studied art history in college, it was my favorite period.  Back in '89, I was blown away by the Ramses: The Great exhibit out at Fair Park and just last year the Wife and I went and saw Hatshepsut: The Queen Who Would Be King show over at the Kimbell.

But Tut?

Man.

That's gonna be somethin' else.

I mean, the dude's got his own song!
